Falkner Livingston Rider Susan Robertson becomes the first woman to ride at over 200mph on an open wheel motorcycle at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
FL Team Makita Suzuki GSX 1350 sets new Land Speed Record at 205.965 mph.
Wendover, Utah. August 13, 2006 - Falkner Livingston Racing set a new Land Speed Record at the historic Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah on August 13, 2006. Riding in the 1350 APS/F class, Susan Robertson set a new course record of 205.965mph.
During the record setting runs, FL Team Rider Robertson had a top timed speed of 209.494 mph on her Team Makita Suzuki GSX 1350.
Team principal Rod Falkner congratulated Susan on her run. He said "Susan has just become the first woman to ride an open wheeled motorcycle at over 200mph on the Salt Flats, and she set a record at the same time”. He added “Susan is the only woman to ride a motorcycle at those speeds, and we are very proud to have her on our team.”
The FL Team Makita Suzuki GSX 1350 Motorcycle was equipped with a Micron Exhaust, and a Nitrous Express Kit including two 2lb. nitrous bottles tucked inside the motorcycle's tail section. A Makita rechargeable battery supplied the power for the nitrous system used to boost the horsepower to well over 200hp.
